Product Description:

BI-Directional Wafer Knife Gate Valve

Manufactured according to the latest edition of MSS SP-81 and tested to meet API Standard 598, our knife gate valve combines robust construction with reliable performance.

 

Components & Functionality：

The knife gate valve consists primarily of a body, knife, stem, seat, and packing, as depicted in the accompanying image. This valve excels in handling mud, fibrous materials, and other media, with its blade-type knife effectively cutting through medium fibers.

 

Operation:

To Open: Rotate the handwheel counterclockwise, causing the valve stem to lift the knife. As the knife edge moves away from the seal to the top position, the knife gate channel fully opens. Simultaneously, the sealing ring returns to an elastic state, enhancing its service life.

To Close: Turn the handwheel clockwise, lowering the stem and moving the knife downwards. Continue rotating the handwheel to push the knife down into the closed position, fully covering the channel. At the bottom edge, the knife is compressed and sealed by wedge force, ensuring effective sealing.

A range of accessories is available to meet customer requirements, including actuators, bypasses, locking devices, extended stems, and bonnets for cryogenic applications.
