Female Threaded and Socket Weld Check Valves
Advantages
A check valve is a device that automatically opens and closes its disc based on the flow direction of the medium to prevent backflow. Also known as a one-way valve, reverse flow valve, or back pressure valve, it operates without manual intervention. The primary function of a check valve is to prevent medium backflow, protect pumps and motors from reverse rotation, and retain the contents of a container. Additionally, it can be installed in pipelines to support auxiliary systems where pressure might exceed the main system's pressure.
The check valve ensures unidirectional medium flow and blocks the opposite flow. It functions automatically: the valve disc opens under fluid pressure moving in one direction; when the flow reverses, the combined effect of fluid pressure and the disc's weight seals against the valve seat, halting the flow.
