Knife gate valve are manufactured to the latest editionof MSS SP-81 and tested to API Standard 598.

Operating and characteristics

Knife gate valve is mainly composed of body, knife, stem, seat and packing, as shown in picture. The valve is suitable for mud and fiber material and other medium, the blade type knife can cut off the fiber of the medium.

Operating:

Open: Turn the handwheel counterclockwise, the valve stem drives the knife up, the knife edge leaves the seal to the top position, and the knife gate channel is fully opened. At the same time, the sealing ring is restored to an elastic state, thereby increasing the service life of the sealing.

Close: Turn the handwheel clockwise, the stem will drop and the knife will move downwards. Continue turning the handwheel and the stem will push the knife down to the closed position. The knife completely covers the channel. At the same time, the knife is at the bottom edge. The knife is squeezed and sealed under the action of the wedge force, thereby functioning as a seal.
